Samsung launched its S20 series in February 2020 with three terminals, the highest of which is the Galaxy S20 Ultra. Not only is it the most luxurious terminal in the series, it is also the largest with a 6.9-inch AMOLED panel that is updated to 120 Hz on the market. Also keep in mind that Samsung screens are excellent workmanship. In short, you will understand that the Galaxy S20 Ultra is currently the best option to consume its content.

Samsung also paid particular attention to the photo area with a 108 megapixel main sensor and a 4-way telephoto lens, which can be used to achieve a 100-fold hybrid zoom.
Still an apartment in terms of autonomy. Despite an impressive 5000 mAh battery, the S20 Ultra struggles to exceed the day of use. Minimal service, therefore, and it’s a shame. We will still console ourselves with the OneUI interface, which is the most successful in the Android world today (after Android itself). He simply ticks all the boxes. So we start with this large 6.8 inch “Dynamic Amoled” screen. In addition to its intrinsic quality, this large diagonal obviously offers incomparable comfort to enjoy its content (even with this small central stamp to let the front camera pass) and is perfectly adapted to the S-Pen. They have a large playing area for drawing.
Then you will find in an Exynos 9825 processor with 7nm engraving. A nice chip with 2.7 GHz when running at full speed. It is supported by 12 GB of RAM, there is no better one yet, and it is perfect for a large-screen smartphone that is more suitable for multitasking. To power all of these beautiful people, you can rely on a 4300 mAh battery that, according to our tests, gives you about 2 days of autonomy.
Finally, the photo stays and it is not surprising that it is complete. In addition to the 3 sensors from the S10 range, the main sensor with 12 megapixels and variable aperture at 1: 1.5 or 2.4, you have a “ToF” sensor with which you can precisely calculate the distance of objects to have one of the best portrait modes on the market. Above all, the OLED screen of the terminal is extremely bright, and the OLED is rich in contrast. Colorimetry isn’t surprisingly good, but changes color fairly quickly if you don’t look directly at the screen. Otherwise, it is almost perfect. The photo section has adapted to the competition in the Android world in particular by adding a third ultra-wide angle sensor that offers very good results.
As usual, Apple offers the most powerful processor on the market at the time of its release. You can enjoy all Apple Arcade games in the best possible conditions. The autonomy of this generation has been improved compared to the previous one with almost 5 hours. We always find wireless charging and FaceID face recognition.

The design remains intact limitless from its predecessor, where the selfie camera is again hidden in a pop-up mechanism above the device. We also find the same impressive template and therefore the same screen width. Good news for kings and queens about consuming multimedia content.
In terms of performance, it has the same winning combination as the 7T, namely a Snapdragon 855+ that is supported by 8 GB of RAM. The same experience as his little brother, the user experience and the gourmet games promise to spin like a charm. In addition, the large screen width offers real gaming comfort. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus: the old flagship became cheaper – 6.4 inches
If you want a big screen but don’t necessarily have the means to invest in a Note 10 or S20 Ultra, you can turn to the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, the largest model in the S10 family. last year, which has since dropped significantly in price. It contains a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel (with Quad HD + definition) of impressive quality.
Due to the curved edges and the thin edges at the top and bottom of the phone, the screen takes up almost 94% of the front panel. To bypass the notch, there is a bubble at the top right of the screen that is required to hold the double front sensor. If this hit is a bit more impressive than the Galaxy S10, it won’t affect its use at all.
The last flagship from Samsung offers above all a comprehensive and first-class experience with its ultrasonic fingerprint reader under the screen, its Exynos 9820 SoC and its 8 GB RAM, its triple sensor module 12 + 12 + 16 megapixels as well as its battery from 4100 mAh (compatible with fast charging, wireless Charging and wireless reverse).

Samsung Galaxy A71: the mid-range option – 6.7 inches
After the Galaxy A70 in 2019, Samsung will offer the Galaxy A71 in 2020. New year, same middle position with big screen. We find the same 6.7-inch diagonal, still in Amoled and Full HD, but with a central punch (like the Note 10 and S20) and an updated technical configuration for the 2019-2020 season.
From Snapdragon 675 we go to 730 to get a small gain in performance and less consumption since the chip is engraved in 8 nm. Unfortunately, the theory cannot be put into practice, since the autonomy of the smartphone is only average. As far as the operating system is concerned, we switch to Android 10 without surprise, whereby the excellent OneUI overlay is always available in version 2.0.
The biggest difference between the A70 and the A71 is obviously to be found in the photo. On the one hand, a fourth sensor appears this year – the macro -, on the other hand, the main sensor now has 64 megapixels. Result: it is good. As we say in our Galaxy A71 review: “In poor lighting conditions, the quality drops somewhat, but overall there is nothing to be really disappointed with.“”

- A complete and pleasant photo area

However, the performance is evident in this price range. With its MediaTek P90T SoC and RAM of up to 8 GB, the smartphone remains just as fluid and greedy for everyday tasks as it is for greedy 3D games.
The photo module is also equipped with 4 sensors, one of which is 64 instead of 48 megapixels. Thanks to the 4,500 mAh battery, the autonomy is also corrected upwards. It also includes an NFC chip (compatible with Google Pay), the 4G 700 MHz band (useful for Free Mobile subscribers) and the 18 W charger (for quick charging).

What is the advantage of a large screen smartphone?
Those who say large-screen images say advocates of content consumption. A large screen gives you considerable convenience when watching a video on YouTube or Netflix or during a game session. On a large screen, you also have more space for the battery and can theoretically gain autonomy. Please note that this is not systematic. If that’s the autonomy you’re looking for first, we recommend our ranking of smartphones with the best battery instead.
6 inches, 7 inches … from what size does a smartphone have a large screen?
A few years ago, fashion was on 4 or 5 inch screens, anything beyond that was considered big screen. With the arrival of screens from edge to edge, things have changed and the norm is now closer to 6 inches. We assume that smartphones with a length of 6.3 inches have a large screen, let alone 6.5 or 6.8 inches.
