Let’s go! This year, the legendary Range Rover celebrates its half-century (it debuted in June 1970) and Land Rover has just opened the celebrations for this 50th anniversary.
At the beginning of the celebrations, the British manufacturer asked the artist Simon Beck to create a unique graphic work in his very cold test center in Arjeplog, Sweden.
A drawing on ice of 53.092 m2
In the middle of the runway on which all future Land Rover models will be developed, the artist created “50 Years of Range Rover”, a birthday crest with a diameter of 260 m! This drawing covers 53.092 m2 and was created thanks to 45,000 footprints in powder snow.
Boxer Anthony Joshua as a featured guest
Land Rover also invited one of its ambassadors to attend the event. British boxer Anthony Joshua, a heavyweight world champion, attended the celebrations by discovering and learning the art of ice skating thanks to instructors from the Jaguar Land Rover Ice Academy.
